Orders

Browse the collection, add your chosen piece to your basket, and proceed to checkout. You'll need to create an account or log in, then provide your delivery address and payment details. Once payment is authorised, you'll receive an Order Confirmation email — that email is your proof of purchase and contains your order number.

We accept: Shop Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is required in full at the time of placing your order.

Yes. You'll need to register an account to complete a purchase. This allows us to manage your order, keep your delivery details secure, and provide customer support efficiently. Registration takes less than a minute.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@ardenwood.co.uk.

Yes — a confirmation email is sent automatically once your order is placed and payment is authorised. If it doesn't appear in your inbox within a few minutes, please check your junk folder. If it's not there, contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk and we'll look into it promptly.

Receiving a confirmation email means your order has been accepted. If payment fails, no confirmation will be sent and no charge will be applied to your account.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk before that window closes.

If you wish to cancel before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible — we'll do our best to stop the order. We cannot guarantee interception once it's been collected by the carrier, but your cancellation right remains valid on receipt.

Yes. All payments are processed by Shopify Payments, which operates in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your card details are encrypted throughout the transaction. Ardenwood never receives, stores, or has access to your full card number, expiry date, or CVV.

If your payment is declined, your order will not be processed and no charge will be applied. Check that your card details are entered correctly, that your card has sufficient funds, and that your bank hasn't blocked the transaction. If the issue persists, try an alternative payment method or contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk.

Delivery

We deliver exclusively within the United Kingdom. International shipping is not currently available. We do not deliver to PO Box or BFPO addresses.

Please ensure the delivery address you enter at checkout is complete and accurate — once an order is dispatched, we are unable to redirect it.

Delivery is free on all orders, with no minimum spend and no exceptions. There are no express or premium options — all orders are shipped on a standard basis.

The estimated delivery timeframe is 7 to 14 calendar days from the date of dispatch. These are estimates and not guarantees — actual delivery times may vary depending on the carrier, public holidays, or circumstances outside our control.

Dispatch may not be immediate following your order confirmation. You'll receive a separate dispatch confirmation email with tracking details once your order is on its way.

Orders are shipped via JS or YunExpress, depending on your order and delivery destination. The carrier and tracking reference will be included in your dispatch confirmation email.

JS tracking numbers are typically numeric sequences. YunExpress tracking numbers begin with YT followed by 16 digits (e.g. YT2315921266046217). Both carriers are fully supported by 17TRACK.

Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number and carrier name. All Ardenwood orders can be tracked through 17TRACK, which supports both JS and YunExpress.

To track your order:

1. Visit www.17track.net
2. Paste your tracking number into the search field
3. Click Track — 17TRACK will identify your carrier automatically
4. You'll see the full delivery timeline including dispatch, transit and last-mile updates

If your tracking number isn't recognised automatically, select your carrier manually using the dropdown — choose JS or YunExpress as shown in your dispatch email. You can also use our order tracking page for a live view of your shipment.

If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe, contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk with your order number and we'll investigate with the carrier promptly.

If your parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will offer you either a replacement order dispatched at no additional cost, or a full refund — your choice.

Please contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and a photograph of the damage. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for goods that don't conform to their description or arrive in an unsatisfactory condition.

Please note: natural variations in glaze, grain, weave, or finish are characteristic of handmade pieces and are not defects.

03

Returns & Exchanges

You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. No reason is needed. To cancel, contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk before the 14-day window closes. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

Items must be unused and in their original, undamaged packaging. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or we made an error — in which case we arrange and cover the return at no cost to you.

Email us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return. We'll reply with written confirmation and return instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service — we cannot accept liability for parcels lost or damaged during return transit.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund within 14 calendar days. Funds are returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take a further few days to appear in your account.

Where a returned item shows signs of use that reduce its value, we may apply a deduction. We'll notify you in writing of any such deduction before processing.

We accept exchange requests submitted within 48 hours of receiving your order, for the same product (in cases of manufacturing defect or incorrect delivery) or for an alternative product of equivalent price. Items must be unused and in original packaging.

Exchange requests after 48 hours are considered at our discretion. Email hello@ardenwood.co.uk with your order number and details of what you received.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the following cannot be returned: personalised or custom-made items, and sealed hygiene-sensitive products where the seal has been broken after delivery.

In all other cases, your statutory right of cancellation remains fully intact. If you're unsure whether your item is eligible, contact us before returning.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, your rights depend on when the fault appears:

Within 30 days of delivery — you may reject the goods and receive a full refund.
Between 30 days and 6 months — we'll offer a repair or replacement first; if neither is possible, you're entitled to a refund.
Up to 6 years from delivery — you may still have a claim if you can demonstrate the fault existed at the time of delivery.

Contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk with your order number, a description of the fault, and photographs where possible.

Our Products

Yes — and it's intentional. Every piece in our collection is made by hand. Natural variations in glaze, grain, weave, or finish are not imperfections: they are proof that a human hand was involved. No two pieces are identical.

Product images are as accurate as we can make them, but screen colour calibration varies by device. If your piece arrives significantly different from its written description — not merely in natural variation — please contact us at hello@ardenwood.co.uk.

Sustainability is built into every decision we make. We prioritise natural, durable materials — solid timber, stoneware, linen, brass — chosen to last decades, not seasons. A product used for ten years has a fraction of the environmental impact of one replaced every two. That's the most honest form of sustainability we know.

We're working towards improvements in packaging and carbon impact. You can read more on our Sustainability page.

Everything in our collection is made by hand, using natural materials chosen for their quality and longevity. There are no shortcuts.

You're not paying for a brand name. You're paying for something that will outlast the decade — and very likely the one after that.

Many pieces are made in limited quantities and are not always restocked. Where a restock is planned, a "Notify me" option will appear on the product page — add your email and we'll contact you as soon as it's available again.

If a piece you love has sold out entirely, get in touch — we can sometimes source something close.

Our Makers

Our products are manufactured in Asia, working with skilled production partners who specialise in ceramics, textiles, and woodwork. Every design, however, is developed through close study of European — and particularly British — craft traditions.

Before production, we work alongside artisans across the British Isles and Europe: potters, weavers, and woodworkers whose techniques, materials, and sensibilities inform everything from glaze composition to grain selection. The result is a collection that carries the character of European craft, made to a standard that allows us to offer it accessibly.

The country of manufacture is stated on each product page. We believe that transparency about origins is a basic part of selling with integrity.

Small-batch European production at the quality level we require would make most of our collection inaccessible to the majority of our customers. We made a deliberate choice: to learn from European craft at its source, translate that knowledge faithfully into our designs, and produce at a scale and price that means more homes can actually live with beautiful things.

The inspiration, the curation, and the design direction are entirely rooted in European tradition. The manufacturing is where we've made a practical compromise — and we'd rather be honest about that than obscure it.

Yes. We establish clear quality standards with every production partner, review samples before listing, and act quickly when something falls short. If a product arrives and doesn't match its description, you are fully protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we will resolve it without hesitation.

We're always genuinely interested in seeing what European craftspeople are making — the work of potters, weavers, and woodworkers directly informs how we think about design, material, and finish.

That said, we are not currently looking to take on new suppliers or commercial partnerships, and we cannot guarantee any response or follow-up. If you'd still like to share your work, you're welcome to send it to hello@ardenwood.co.uk.

Please do not send physical samples unless specifically invited to do so.

06

Care & Longevity

Most of our ceramics are dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing to preserve the glaze and extend the life of the piece. Avoid prolonged soaking and harsh abrasives. Unglazed stoneware will deepen in character with use. For full care instructions, visit our Product Care page.

Keep solid wood away from direct heat sources and prolonged sunlight. Wipe with a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Treat with a natural wax or oil every six to twelve months. For detailed guidance, visit our Product Care page.

Wash linen at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Air dry where possible — linen softens and improves with every wash. Light ironing while slightly damp will keep things crisp. For full care instructions, visit our Product Care page.

Unlacquered brass develops a natural patina — a warm amber darkening that we consider one of the most beautiful things a material can do. It is not a fault; it is evidence of time passing in your home.

If you prefer a brighter finish, a gentle polish with a brass cloth every few months will maintain it. If you'd rather let it age, simply leave it be. Both are entirely right.
